I just finished KJ Parker’s The Hammer. It’s an excellent book, like all of the six or seven Parker novel’s I’ve read: lucid, smart and coldly human. Parker seems to be doing well — a book a year, roughly, all selling well if not “best,” with an enthusiastic fan base and great reviews.
And here’s the thing: Parker does no promotion whatsoever. No social networking — no twitter, no facebook, no G+, no nothing. There’s a webpage, with effectively zero content. This is Parker’s bio, in full:

Good for him! Or her.
I wish I could do my self-promotion that way.
